Cavan ICSA will host a farmers meeting with special guest Mairead McGuinness MEP, First Vice-President of the European Parliament, on Monday 29 April at the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan. The meeting will commence at 8pm.
ICSA Cavan chair Hugh Farrell said, “With Brexit, CAP reforms and climate change dominating the farming agenda, we are delighted to be welcoming Mairead McGuinness to Cavan to get the EU perspective and debate the issues. All farmers are invited to attend and get involved in shaping the future of Irish farming. ”
“In my capacity as chair of ICSA’s Animal Health & Welfare committee, I would also be particularly interested to hear farmers’ concerns with the TB eradication programme. ICSA are currently sitting at the TB Forum and are keen to bring local Cavan issues to the table. ICSA beef chair Edmund Graham and sheep chair Sean McNamara will also be on hand and are eager to hear about the issues locally, so come along and have your say.”
