DAFM KT APPROVED EVENT ON FARMER WELLBEING TO TAKE PLACE IN CAVAN

CC Agricultural Consultants and ICSA will host a DAFM Knowledge Transfer event on Farmer Wellbeing on Thursday, 5 April at the Hotel Kilmore in Cavan. The event which will run from 7pm to 9pm is a DAFM Approved Knowledge Transfer event for all six KT sectors: Beef, sheep, dairy, tillage, poultry and equine.

The event will focus on farmer wellbeing, mental and general health. Guest speakers on the evening include:

A representative from SOSAD, an organisation which focuses on raising awareness of suicide in Ireland, will also give a short presentation on the night.

KT Registration is from 6.45pm – 7.45pm

ICSA SLAMS UNFAIR TARGETING OF IRISH LIVESTOCK HAULIERS ABROAD

ICSA president Sean McNamara has said he is urgently seeking clarification regarding the recent targeting of Irish livestock trucks by Irish officials at the port of Cherbourg. “ICSA has been contacted by several of the livestock hauliers affected who claim they were singled out by the Irish officials for additional inspections by the French authorities while non livestock carrying trucks were left alone. This was despite these inspections having no relevance to animal welfare,” he said.
