ICSA president Patrick Kent has called for the re-opening of the Irish embassy in Iran, which has been closed since 2012.
“Now that Iran has agreed to a nuclear deal which will bring an end to sanctions against the country, re-opening the embassy in Tehran would provide a timely opportunity to build bridges with potential customers for Irish beef and lamb in the Middle East,” said Mr. Kent.
“Iran is an important and influential country and Ireland should have ambassadorial representation there.”
