ICSA president Patrick Kent said he was alarmed at reports that meat factories were offering different base prices for non-QA cattle.

“This is a breach of faith of the beef roundtable outcomes and it does not augur well if we can’t even keep to the agreement that there would be no dual pricing. The paragraph in the beef roundtable outcomes was unequivocal stating that, there will be no dual base pricing…by breed, age or weight or Quality Assurance status.”
