The Head of the Kilrush Garda Division is urging people living in isolated locations in the Loop Head peninsula to reach out if they find themselves struggling to cope.
The latest in a series of meetings on rural isolation is taking place in Carrigaholt Hall tomorrow from 7.30pm and will involve speakers from the ICSA, Teagasc, mental health services and Gardaí as well as health professionals.
Three meetings have already taken place in Kilrush, Kilfenora and Kilmihil since their initiation in October.
Superintendent Martin McGonnell says the events are making a huge difference to people in isolated areas.
